Job Description:

Must Know Tamil Language- Mandatory
Install, upgrade, maintain and support Oracle databases under Linux , Solaris & windows OS.
* Experience in migrating of database from 10g to 11g.
* In-depth knowledge of Oracle Architecture and their dependence on the OS.
* Monitoring and responding to database incidents and escalation through their appropriate matrix.
* Work closely with peers by taking part in periodic meetings and sharing knowledge
* Work with other dependent skill teams (e.g Unix/Windows)
* Good in Oracle RDBMS 10g/11g architecture concepts
* Usage of data dictionary views
* Space management, Undo Management, User management
* Partitioning of tables
* Experience in user/role management
* Experience in database patching, up-gradation.
* Managing Redo log and Archive log files
* Working experience in RMAN, Sql loader & Data Pump
* Backup and recovery methods
* Logical backup and recovery using data pump, export/import
* Oracle network configuration (listener and tnsnames)
* Troubleshooting database issues
* Work experience in Performance tuning using AWR, Explain Plan and TKprof.
* Work experience in core DBA & RAC, Data Guard implementation, monitoring activities & troubleshooting (RAC & DG)


Key skill areas & knowledge required

* Knowledge of Backup and Recovery using RMAN and Oracle data pump.
* Team player, positive attitude, good communicator, friendly personality able to work in a multicultural environment
* Able to work individually, organize and manage own tasks
* Experience in Oracle Data Guard
* Knowledge of RAC setup
