Job Description:
Having over 5 years of experience in Oracle database administration. Candidate should be strong in following area
- Oracle Database architecture and knowledge in SQL server
- Cloning database - Using RMAN
- Shell scripting (Also Power shell scripting will be good if we have)
- Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage manager)
- Should be good in Performance tuning and rightly identifying the problematic area on day to day
- Suggest Developer best practices
- Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Flexibility and willingness to understand the application environment and to troubleshooting day to day issues
- Cross platform migration of Oracle database which they are currently doing (Trasportable tablespace) for HP/AIX to virtual boxes (Vblock)
- Prior experience worked in Virtual environment (EMC, Vcenter, Vmware)
- Work closely with Developers/Application team to load data using SQL loader
- Scheduling RMAN, Export backup in CRON jobs and also monitoring those in a daily basis
- Good knowledge on RMAN (Recovery manager)
- Experience in different version of Oracle from 8.1.7,9.1, 9.2, 10.2.x and 11gR2
- Oracle user management (Roles, Privileges)
- Good knowledge in troubleshooting Oracle PL/SQL, Triggers, SQL queries
